Katherine Heigl & Naleigh: Big Apple Lunch

Katherine Heigl, her mom Nancy, and a nanny took 3-year-old Naleigh out to lunch at Da Silvano in New York City on Thursday (January 26). As they were leaving, they carried the restaurant's little bags.

The actress has been busy promoting her new film One For The Money. During the week she even brought Naleigh with her on the Jimmy Kimmel Live and The View.

Five Reasons To See 'The Grey'

Liam Neeson rejoins his "A-Team" director Joe Carnahan for the man-versus-nature thriller "The Grey," in theaters today (January 27). The ads might have you thinking it's nothing but wolf punching, but there's a lot more going on.

Here are our five reasons to brave the winter weather and go see "The Grey."
1. Liam the [...]

'The Grey': The Reviews Are In!

Critics give mostly positive reviews to Liam Neeson's wolf-punching thriller.
By Kevin P. Sullivan

Photo: Open Road Films

For the third January in a row, Liam Neeson returns to kick ass more than any other 59-year-old we know. This time he isn't taking down sex traffickers like in "Taken" or whatever he was fighting in "Unknown." No, this time, it's wolves.

For a movie that was sold on the notion of wolf punching, "The Grey" has received primarily positive reviews for its deeper-than-you'd-think story and characters.

Check out what the critics are saying about "The Grey."

The Story
"We meet Neeson's character, a heartbroken loner named John Ottway, on the verge of suicide and thinking back, obsessively, to the woman who got away. His demons temporarily quelled, Ottway boards a small plane with his fellow refinery workers and in one of the most nerve-racking flights ever put on film, the aircraft runs afoul of bad weather and crashes. (For a turbulence wimp like me, this scene was not easy.)" — Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune

The Star
"Having paid his quality biopic dues as Oskar Schindler, Michael Collins and Alfred Kinsey, Mr. Neeson has, at least for now, turned to the rougher and perhaps more lucrative work of action heroism. It takes nothing away from his earlier achievements to note that he's really good at it. He conveys a ferocious and absolute seriousness even when the going gets silly, and he finds the soul in each new angry-everyman cipher he is asked to play." — A.O. Scott, New York Times

The Wolves
" 'The Grey' is an unrelenting demonstration that wolves have no opinion. When they attack, it's not personal. They've spent untold millennia learning how to survive, naked and without weapons, in fearsome places like the Arctic Circle in the dead of winter. They aren't precisely unarmed; they have their teeth and claws, but how far would that get us, even if we had rifles?" — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

The Director
"We've come, in vain, to see [Neeson] danse-macabre with wolves, and the film's director, Joe Carnahan, provides the occasional horror-film sneak attack. He also manages to create one of the movies' more nightmarish plane crashes and conclude with just the sort of ludicrous finale that paying customers who've seen the ads might assume they would be getting a whole film of." — Wesley Morris, Boston Globe

The Final Word
"For all its macho standoffs and action set pieces and menacing off-screen howling, 'The Grey' is at heart a simple moral fable about how true heroism consists in helping other human beings to live as long and die as well as they can, which is, after all, the task all of us face each day, even when we're not fending off wolves with broken glass duct-taped to our knuckles." — Dana Stevens, Slate

SAG Awards 2012: We Pick The Winners

One of the biggest surprises coming out the Academy Award nominations from Tuesday (January 24) was how significant the SAG nominees ended up being. No SAG nomination for Albert Brooks in "Drive"? No Oscar nomination for Albert Brooks in "Drive."

Demi Moore Released From Hospital

Actress has reportedly left Sherman Oaks Hospital, where she was admitted on Monday for 'exhaustion.'
By Jocelyn Vena

Demi Moore has been discharged from Sherman Oaks Hospital, E! News confirms. The actress entered the Los Angeles area hospital on Monday, but it remains unclear exactly when she left the facility.

The site further reports that her discharge is timed perfectly with Ashton Kutcher's return to the States. He had been in Brazil shooting a campaign for Colcci along with supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio. His return to the U.S. on Thursday (January 26) had been previously scheduled and was not prompted by Moore's hospitalization. When TMZ cameras caught the actor out and about in Brazil, he said nothing when asked about his estranged wife's situation.

There has been a lot of speculation in the days since Moore entered the hospital, including reports that she had been inhaling nitrous oxide from aerosol cans, which then led to seizure-like symptoms. However, her rep explained that she was hospitalized for "exhaustion."

A source tells UsMagazine.com that "she has spiraled and gotten to a place where she is struggling too much to function ... Her life is completely in crisis. She is turning 50 and has no idea who she is or what her focus should be."

The news of Moore's health scare comes just months after she announced her split from Kutcher. "As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life," she said in a statement. "This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation."

While she will no longer be in the upcoming "Lovelace" biopic, she will appear in the Miley Cyrus film "LOL," out later this year.

Steve-O & His Karaoke Show Sued!

Jackass star Steve-O has seemed like he was finally getting his life together lately. Now he is being hit with a pretty nasty lawsuit over an alleged incident that occurred while taping his new show ?Killer Karaoke.? The show has a pretty simple concept behind it: film people while making fools of themselves singing Karaoke. It?s not exactly a prize-winning idea. It?s funny enough to watch horrible singers butcher songs, but they apparently take things to the next level. According to TMZ, the show?s producers spray people with water while they are trying to concentrate on singing. Now a woman named Susanne Ohman is after some serious cash claiming she was seriously hurt because of the craziness. She says that they completely soaked her, which caused her off of a platform. The woman says she injured her ?tibia, patella, ligaments, knee, leg, bones, and injured her muscles, bone, circulatory system, and body.? Wow. Is there anything left off of that list? Now she has filed a lawsuit seeking damages related to the alleged accident. The amount of money she is seeking has not been published yet, but I?m guessing it?s pretty serious business because the injuries she claims to have [...]

The 2012 Oscar Nominations were announced this morning and let me say it is quite a list. There were some fantastic surprises on the list that now have me rooting for those underdogs. I was thrilled when the names of Melissa McCarthy and Jonah Hill were both announced on the list of 2012 Oscar Nominees. Melissa was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in Bridesmaids; Jonah was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in Moneyball. Congrats to those two and all the amazing nominees. There is a lot of great talent represented this year so it will no doubt be a tough year to choose a winner. You and I can see who takes home the coveted award on February 26th on ABC. Oscar's Best Song Category: Why Only Two Nominees?

Complicated voting rules shut out songs by Elton John, Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige and Pink.
By John Mitchell

Blu and Linda in "Rio"
Photo: 20th Century Fox

Tuesday morning's (January 24) announcement of the 2012 Oscar nominations delivered plenty of surprises. Michael Fassbender ("Shame"), Albert Brooks ("Drive") and Charlize Theron ("Young Adult") were overlooked in the acting categories, while Melissa McCarthy ("Bridesmaids"), Rooney Mara ("The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo") and Max von Sydow ("Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close") scored surprise nominations. But perhaps no category was more head-scratching than Best Original Song.

Despite the fact that a short list of 39 tracks were eligible for nomination, only two were named — "Man or Muppet" from "The Muppets" and "Real in Rio" from "Rio" — leaving tunes from Elton John and Lady Gaga, Pink, will.i.am, Zooey Deschanel, Elvis Costello and Mary J. Blige shut out of the competition.

Many Oscar-watchers were left wondering why the Academy would opt away from the traditional five contenders in favor of just two little-heard songs. Well, a closer look at the Oscar rule book shows it's probably less a case of choosing to nominate only two songs than it is simply a case of a single song scoring enough points to secure a nod, and then bringing its closest competition along for the ride.

Oscar nominations are arrived at using a very complicated weighted system in which members of the Academy, voting exclusively for members of their own branch (i.e. actors chose the acting nominees, directors vote for directors, etc.), rank contenders in order of preference. From there, a "magic number" is determined that relies on the number of ballots cast for a category, along with a specific mathematical equation. Ballots are tallied and contenders are eliminated through several rounds in a process that tabulates factors like first-place mentions and so on. Once a contender reaches the magic number, they are an Oscar nominee. (The folks over at EW's PopWatch break down the selection steps in great detail.)

So this is how the nominees are determined — with one exception: Best Original Song. In 2009, when the Academy opted to up the number of Best Picture nominees to 10 (the voting body has since altered that number), it also changed the rules for Best Original Song. As Billboard points out, members of the Academy's music branch now "assign each song a numerical score between 1 and 10, and if no song receives an average of more than 8.25, there are no nominees. If only one song tops the threshold, as clearly happened here, the next highest vote getter secures a nomination as well."

This year's Best Original Song category boils down to this: either Bret McKenzie's "Man or Muppet" or "Real in Rio" by songwriting trio Sergio Mendes, Carlinhos Brown and Siedah Garrett secured a score of 8.25 or better, earning a nomination and pulling the #2 vote-getter into the fray. Simply put, members of the music branch didn't award any other song, including John and Gaga's duet "Hello Hello" or Blige's "The Help" track "Living Proof," a score high enough to secure a nomination.

But lest you think that this means the category is all but locked, think again. While selecting the Oscar nominees is an intensely mathematical process, picking the winners is much easier. Once the nominations are decided, every member of the Academy can vote in each category and the nominee that receives the most votes wins. Easy enough. And since actors are the largest voting block of the Academy— and would have had nothing to do with the tracks selected to contend for Best Original Song — it's anyone's game.

Justin Timberlake Is 'Perfect' In Coen Brothers Flick

'Inside Llewyn Davis' actor Oscar Isaac has been recording music with Timberlake for the '60s folk flick.

"W.E." star Oscar Isaac is deep in musical preparations for the next Coen Brothers film, "Inside Llewyn Davis," in which he'll play the title character. In a couple weeks, Isaac and his castmates, including Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan and Garrett Hedlund, will be on set, but until then they are in the recording studio putting the finishing touches on the film's musical elements.

"Right now I'm gearing up for the Coen Brothers film, which is all music based," he told MTV News at the New York premiere of the Madonna-directed "W.E." "So that's actually taking up a lot of the musical creative energy. So excited."

Isaac, much like his co-stars, has dabbled in music, having put off recording his own music to focus on the film. And with some assistance from some big-name musical heavyweights, the music is destined to shine. The actor said the cast is currently in the studio with Timberlake, the Punch Brothers, T-Bone Burnett and Mulligan's fiancé, Marcus Mumford — what he called an "amazing group of musicians."

"It's folk from the '60s — old songs passed down for many generations — but new takes on them," he said of the songs being used in the film, which follows the life of a New York City folk singer in the 1960s. "Obviously we have the hindsight of now and so we kind of revisit these old songs. They're hopeful and beautiful and in contrast [to] the life of a folk singer, which is not very beautiful at all. It's very drab and dire. It's a screwball comedy."

As for Timberlake, the pop star best known for his bouncing beats can sing folk too. "He's perfect, really pure," Isaac said.

How do you think Justin Timberlake will do with folk music? Sound off in the comments.

Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' 'Sounds Very Familiar' To Madonna

'I certainly think she references me a lot in her work,' Queen of Pop tells ABC News.
By Jocelyn Vena

<P>There was a hot debate raging about 12 months ago when Lady Gaga dropped her song <a href="/news/articles/1657726/lady-gaga-born-this-way.jhtml">"Born This Way,"</a> with people questioning whether the song sounds too much like Madonna's 1980s hit "Express Yourself." As the discussion went viral, fans, critics and even Lady Gaga herself weighed in on it. Now, as Madge preps the release of her next album, <a href="/news/articles/1677103/madonna-album-mdna.jhtml"><i>M.D.N.A.</a>,</i> and her film "W.E.," she's <i>finally</i> weighing in on the controversy. Madonna, known for her curt, pithy responses when asked about anyone who might take a cue or two from her playbook, sat down with <a href="http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/entertainment/2012/01/madonna-breaks-silence-on-gaga-born-this-way-controversy-2020-exclusive-tonight/" target="_blank">ABC News</a> recently and had some choice words for pop's latest princess. "I certainly think she references me a lot in her work. And sometimes I think it's amusing and flattering and well-done," she explained of her <a href="/news/articles/1622985/lady-gaga-madonna-almost-kiss-on-saturday-night-live.jhtml">onetime "Saturday Night Live" co-star</a>. "When I heard ['Born This Way'] on the radio ... I said, 'that sounds very familiar' ... It felt reductive." <center><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:717952/cp~id%3D1672718%26vid%3D717952%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A717952%26instance%3Dmtv" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="." flashVars=""></embed></center> When asked if "reductive" was good or bad, Madonna replied, "Look it up." The Queen of Pop did call Gaga "a very talented artist" and explained that she thinks that she's making a "statement about taking something that was in the Zeitgeist, you know, 20 years ago and turning it inside out and reinterpreting it." Madonna also addressed her apparent penchant for kissing female pop stars. She recently made headlines when her <a href="/news/articles/1676052/madonna-gimme-all-your-luvin-single.jhtml">"Gimme All Your Luvin"</a> cohort Nicki Minaj tweeted that Madge had <a href="/news/articles/1675587/nicki-minaj-madonna-give-me-all-your-love.jhtml">kissed her</a> on the set of her video. In true Madonna fashion, she brushed it off, saying, "It was her birthday. I gave her a birthday kiss. No tongue!" Of course, Nicki is not the first pop star Madonna has locked lips with. Back in 2003, Madge shared kisses on the VMA stage with Britney Spears <i>and</i> Christina Aguilera. "Nice moment, good kisser. Cool," she <a href="http://idolator.com/6137151/madonna-nightline-interview-britney" target="_blank">remarked</a> of Spears. When asked if she would kiss Spears again, she replied, "No, I already did it. I don't like to repeat myself." For those who may have missed the "Nightline" interview on Thursday, it will air on Friday night (January 13) on "20/20." <center><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:686557/cp~id%3D1672718%26vid%3D686557%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A686557%26instance%3Dmtv" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="." flashVars=""></embed></center></p>

Oscar 2012 Nominations: Biggest Snubs And Surprises

'Harry Potter,' Albert Brooks passed over, while Gary Oldman finally gets his due.
By Kevin P. Sullivan

We now have the answer to one of awards season's biggest questions: We know who has been nominated for the 2012 Academy Awards. All we need to know now is who wins. This year's Oscar nominations didn't offer any enormous surprises, but a few of the snubs have some people gasping.

Right off the bat, it must be addressed. Albert Brooks was not nominated for his delightfully evil turn in "Drive." Both Brooks and the film have a passionate following, so Max von Sydow's nomination for "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" over Brooks can't come as welcome news for the movie's many fans. Brooks hilariously responded to the snub over Twitter, saying, "I got ROBBED. I don't mean the Oscars, I mean literally. My pants and shoes have been stolen." That's it, Al. Kill them with laughter.

But let's not focus on the negative. A great injustice was righted with the nominations. Gary Oldman's nod for "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" didn't come as a complete surprise, but it was a welcome one. Shockingly, the famed British actor had never been nominated before now. After decades of memorable characters, Oldman has finally gotten his due. He and the Best Actor category's other surprise, Demián Bichir from "A Better Life," edged out category favorites Leonardo DiCaprio for "J. Edgar" and Michael Fassbender for "Shame."

Two dark horses, "The Tree of Life" and "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close," shocked with major nominations after staying near the rear of the pack for most of awards season. Both earned Best Picture nominations, bringing the total number of nominees to nine, one less than the maximum limit. The elusive Terrence Malick scored a nomination for directing "Tree of Life," and film legend von Sydow made the cut for his supporting role in "Extremely Loud."

Rooney Mara's Best Actress nomination made for a minor surprise. Her nod was the only major nomination for "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," which was passed over for Best Picture, Director and Writing. Perhaps the biggest oversight from "Dragon Tattoo" was the hypnotic score from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, last year's Best Score winners for "The Social Network."

The nomination that may have brought on some of the biggest cheers around the country was the Best Supporting Actress nod for the breakout star from "Bridesmaids," Melissa McCarthy. She had been passed over for a Golden Globe nomination, but she made the Oscar cut along with her co-star Kristen Wiig, who was nominated for co-writing the screenplay.

Not everybody took the Oscar hopes for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" seriously, and indeed, the biggest movie of 2011 failed to earn a nomination for Best Picture. Fans had also made a push for a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Alan Rickman, but he didn't make the cut either.

You couldn't have given that tenth Best Picture spot to the boy who lived, Academy?

And they even suggested how much they think the whole business might be worth. "I think they're terribly private about it," HuffPost celebrity columnist Rob Shuter explained. "I think if they do anything, they'll take the Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes way that they did with Suri and they'll do it on the cover of a monthly like <i>Vanity Fair</i>. But I don't even think they'll do that. They'll definitely, in my opinion, not be selling a picture to the highest bidding weekly magazine. That's just not their style." With editors scrambling for the authorized photos of the newborn and her parents, there are also tabloids scrambling to get some image of Blue, whether or not B and Jay have anything to do with its release. "In the case of unauthorized photos, they're typically not the best quality. So if it was sort of your average photo, there's always people who will pay up to a million dollars for that type of photo," said David Caplan, who has worked at celebrity magazines like <i>Star</i> and <i>People</i>. "Again, it really depends on the quality, and typically it's the hard-core tabloids who will buy that because they won't be in the running for the real baby photos, which will likely go to either sort of like a <i>People</i> or even a monthly. "I think with Beyonc&#233; there's no guarantee she'll sell her photo to a weekly magazine, I can see her choosing to do it in <i>Vogue</i> and <i>Vanity Fair</i>," he added, noting that going that route ensures she can control the entire rollout. <i>How do you think Beyonc&#233; and Jay-Z will release photos of their baby girl? Robert Pattinson's 'Cosmopolis' Wins MTV Movie Brawl

More than 3 million votes were cast to push the David Cronenberg-directed indie over brand-new franchise 'The Hunger Games.'

The final buzzer has sounded, the brawl for it all is over, and Robert Pattinson is the last man standing: "Cosmopolis" has won MTV Movie Brawl 2012.

His indie drama made for one hell of a Cinderella story in the vote-driven tournament to pick the must-see movie of the year. Entering the bracket as a #4 seed (following an impressive showing in the play-in round), "Cosmopolis" appeared to be facing an unavoidable Elite Eight ouster. What were the chances Pattinson's cerebral film about a young finance wiz taking a day-long limo ride though New York City would beat "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2"? Apparently pretty good. Fans banded together, choosing to support RPattz's post-vampire career rather than the franchise that made him a star. "Breaking Dawn" was sent packing.

And so, after easily fighting off "The Dark Knight Rises," "Cosmopolis" came to face "The Hunger Games," a brand-new franchise that had waltzed through the tournament and seemed to be the odds-on favorite to win the whole tourney. But it was not to be. After more than 3 million votes and a slew of lead changes, Pattinson's film beat back Jennifer Lawrence's series to become the undisputed champion of the Movie Brawl.

Hours before voting closed Monday afternoon (January 23), with "Cosmopolis" staking out an insurmountable lead and the MTV Movies team at the Sundance Film Festival, we broke the news to Pattinson's co-star, Paul Giamatti, that their film had won the tournament.

"Holy cow, that's astounding!" he said. "The fact of that is amazing. ... That's a really cool thing that it brings that visibility to that movie."

It's been a whirlwind few weeks in the tournament, so we'd like to thank all the fans who voted. The Brawl broke bigger than we could have ever hoped. Well over 5 million votes were cast. The competition spread wildly over Twitter and Facebook. Our comments sections caught fire as fans debated, argued and rallied. In the end, though, only one film could stand as the undisputed champion of the MTV Movie Brawl. Pattinson, Giamatti, director David Cronenberg and everyone connected to "Cosmopolis" — we salute you!

Steven Tyler Sings Painful National Anthem At AFC Championship Game (Video)

OMG did you see Steve Tyler sing the national anthem at the AFC Championship game today? If not then you missed a horrendous rendition of the infamous song. Seriously it was god-awful and I have the video to prove it. As I sat here anxiously awaiting the AFC Championship game between the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots I got the oh so not great pleasure of listening to Tyler belt out the national anthem. To say he was bad is an understatement, it literally hurt my ears listening to him sing or attempt to sing I should day. When Steven was first announced I thought he was kind of a rather odd choice but then I was told he was a Patriots fan, not sure if that is true or not but it is what I was told. Anyway I just so happened to not be paying attention to the TV when the performance began but boy did I quickly tune in as soon as I herd his voice because it was painful. I honestly can?t describe to you how bad it was, al I can say is it sucked. I understand that Tyler is not as on [...]

Fun. Say Making 'We Are Young' Video 'Was Terrifying'

'There were a lot of moments in the video that ... should have ended a lot worse than they did,' band says.
By James Montgomery

Fun.'s "We Are Young" video is the kind of thing that practically begs for repeat viewings ... a stirring, swirling collection of slow-motion imagery (bodies flailing, glass shattering and the like) that pops from the screen, it's far and away the first breakout clip of 2012. Thankfully for the guys in the band, it was also the kind of video where repeat takes weren't allowed. Mostly because, well, someone could've gotten hurt.

"It was terrifying. There were a lot of moments in the video that I think should have ended a lot worse than they did," guitarist Jack Antonoff laughed. "I watch the video and I think, 'Oh God, we really threw ourselves in some real danger there,' because it's a bunch of stunt people and then us. And it's not necessarily healthy to have cake rocketed at your face from an air cannon, but we did it. And we're in serious tuxedos that are very constricting, so if you want to get away from something quick, you want to be in a sweat suit or something."

"There was a palm tree that flips by [multi-instrumentalist] Andrew [Dost's] head, and I was watching and I had no idea how far away that palm tree was from his head," frontman Andrew Ruess added. "I was so scared, for real."

Of course, all that danger was just part of what made the "Young" video such a challenge for Fun. The other part? Well, that would be living up to the rather ginormous goals they had set for themselves ... namely, to single-handedly resurrect the music video medium from its current doldrums.

"We were really adamant about getting back to the heyday of music videos, you know, the mid-'90s, when we were growing up," Antonoff said. "Videos like [the Smashing Pumpkins'] 'Tonight, Tonight' and Spike Jonze's slow-motion 'Wax' video ['California'] ... just these videos where it's not some giant narrative, and it's not a mini-movie, it's a cool music video. It's kind of abstract, but to us, it makes sense."

And really, that grandiose spirit of just going for it is also what fuels the band's wide-screen, everything-but-the-kitchen-sink album Some Nights (due February 21). It is very much the sound of a band breaking barriers, pushing boundaries and gunning for the big time ... and, yes, Fun. will happily admit to all of those things. After all, they've been working toward this moment for nearly a decade now, and they're going to take full advantage. Even if it kills them.

"It's been a long time coming," Ruess said. "And we want it to take over the world."

"It all seems like, if you're pop, you go big, if you're indie, you go small and you're self-deprecating. We just think we can do both, you know?" Antonoff said. "If we have a song that sounds like it's meant to be played for 10,000 people, like 'We Are Young,' then we'd like to try to do that, and we'd like to try and make a video that reflects that."

'West Of Memphis' Offers New Evidence In West Memphis Three Saga

Peter Jackson-produced documentary, premiering Friday at Sundance, contains new info about the murders.

PARK CITY, Utah — The Peter Jackson-produced documentary "West of Memphis" premieres at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday (January 20), chronicling the conviction, imprisonment and eventual release of West Memphis Three defendants Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley, who were convicted in 1994 of brutally murdering three young boys in Arkansas, despite an overwhelming amount of reasons to believe otherwise.

Though Echols, Baldwin and Misskelley were released from prison in August, they have still not been exonerated for the murders. "West of Memphis" aims to present new revelations about their innocence and another man's role in the crime, and as such, the documentary is something of an ever-evolving work — so much so that a new, crucial interview was just shot and added to the documentary in the last week.

"Some witnesses came forward a very short time ago," Jackson told MTV News about the new revelations. "[Director Amy Berg] was able to interview them about six days ago. We only just managed to get that particular interview with two young men into the movie, in time for the screenings today. It's some fairly serious eyewitness statements that I think are going to hopefully push the resolution of the case a little bit further."

Though the documentary is set to make its world premiere at Sundance, Jackson insists that the story is far from over.

"This is a story that has not come to an end yet. In fact, it's very much not ended," he said. "We have three guys that were released from prison but not exonerated, even though they did not do the crime. We have three young boys who were murdered in 1993, and the killer still walks free. So absolutely, this is not the end of the story. It's ongoing. It's literally developing on a daily basis right now."

"West of Memphis" isn't the first documentary about the trial. The "Paradise Lost" trilogy of documentaries — the last of which made its TV debut last week on HBO — also aimed to prove the West Memphis Three's innocence.

The 2012 Sundance Film Festival is officially under way, and the MTV Movies team is on the ground reporting on the hottest stars and the movies everyone will be talking about in the year to come. Keep it locked with MTV Movies for everything there is to know about Sundance.

<P>Last week, <a href="/news/articles/1677033/blue-ivy-beyonce-jay-z-leaves-hospital.jhtml">Beyonc&#233; and Jay-Z left Lenox Hill Hospital</a> with their new bundle of joy, Blue Ivy Carter. Born on January 7, baby Blue already made history when she became the youngest to make it on a <a href="/news/articles/1677163/beyonce-jay-z-baby-blue-carter-glory-song.jhtml"><i>Billboard</i> chart</a>, so it's safe to assume that Blue is destined for success. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:725377.id:1676907" width="240" height="211"></div><p> For now, Blue and Mom are hopefully resting at home in what is sure to be a very chic nursery. So what could <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyonc&#233;</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jay_z/artist.jhtml">Jay-Z</a>'s nursery for Blue look like? To get an idea, MTV News caught up with Andrea Edmunds, the president of PoshTots, a designer of choice for celebrity parents looking to create a dream nursery. Edmunds has worked with Heidi Klum, Kimora Lee Simmons, Gwyneth Paltrow and a host of other stars to help get their homes ready for a baby. On Thursday, Edmunds stopped by MTV News and put together a dream nursery for Blue Ivy, which included a star favorite item, the <a href="http://www.poshtots.com/baby-furniture/baby-furniture/bassinets-cradles/dynasty-cradle/18/207/1315/1550/poshproductdetail.aspx" target="_blank">Dynasty iron cradle</a>. "A cradle is a must for moms who want babies close by. We have a lot of celebrity moms who have purchased this actual cradle." Edmunds said of the cradle, which retails for $2,000. "It's sophisticated, it's elegant and &#8212; look at it &#8212; I think it says Beyonc&#233;." Edmunds also brought along some of her most popular baby gifts, which include angora booties (a popular gift among celebrities like George Clooney and Paltrow). "A silk charmeuse blanket retails for $450, and it's a favorite gift. Gwyneth Paltrow has given this as baby gifts and it's a favorite among celebrities." Now, Edmunds would not divulge if Beyonc&#233; is a client, but rumors have been swirling that she and Jay-Z registered for her <a href="http://www.poshtots.com/interior-design-guide/nursery-necessities/all-baby-cribs/fantasy-carriage-crib/3378/3381/1313/12867/poshproductdetail.aspx" target="_blank">Fantasy Coach Carriage Crib</a>, which retails for $20,000. "I will tell you that we do have a coach carriage, and we have sold the coach carriage." Edmunds said. "We do work with a lot of celebrities, and we do respect our clients' confidentiality." <i>What do you think Blue's nursery looks like? Let us know in the comments.</i> </p>
