Turns out it wasn't The-Dream who sent the now-infamous "N---as in Paris" tweet from Gwyneth Paltrow's phone, but the Love King still insists that his buddy did nothing wrong.
"Well, we were there, of course. We were Patron'd out of our minds, number one. Number two, I was moreso trying to take the heat for a friend because I knew that the reaction was going to be silly," The-Dream admitted to MTV News on the carpet for vitaminwater's Fader Uncapped concert in Hollywood on Thursday night. "I know what she meant; I know what she didn't mean."
Last weekend, while onstage at the Throne's much-ballyhooed Paris concert, Paltrow tweeted a pic of herself with a few friends and captioned it: "Ni**as in Paris for real @mrteriousnash (the dream) tyty, beehigh."
The tweet caused much controversy, sparking a debate over who should and shouldn't be allowed to use the N-word. The-Dream says he knows that the actress didn't mean for the tweet to be derogatory and also suggests that the issue isn't so black-and-white. "We created a song and titled it like that. It's one of the biggest songs out, especially [since] Jay and Kanye are two of the biggest rap figures," he began to explain. "It's like a catch-22, it's like a trick, like 'Yeah we're gonna say it and we're gonna sell it to you, but you can't really use it and you can't say it."
After Paltrow came under fire, the "Shawty Is a 10" singer came to her rescue and took the blame, claiming that he was the one who sent the message from Gwyn's phone. Now he admits it was all just a cover-up. "I knew it was going to be silly from the beginning, so I just tried to jump to her defense," he said to MTV News. "Unfortunately, people were bothered and I understand it to a degree, but you have to still understand that we give the word its own power."
The magnitude of Hov and Yeezy's historic concert isn't lost on The-Dream. He hopes that by performing "N---as in Paris" multiple times in Paris, the Throne can eventually change the complexion of the city. "If you know the culture there, then you know it's not really bound to blacks in that type of a way. It's soft and gloomy, but it's not us," he says of Paris. "So I understand the title of the song, I know what the movement is, and I extremely was touched after they performed in Paris 11 times because I know that's going to affect the culture 10 years from now."

"Rock of Ages" Holds Star-Studded Hollywood Premiere
With its release date quickly approaching, Warner Bros. Pictures' "Rock of Ages? held a star-studded premiere in Hollywood, California to close out the work week on Friday (June 8).
Held at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the film's cast members including Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Diego Boneta, Russell Brand and Julianne Hough were all looking fabulous as they greeted the large crowd of fans who'd gathered to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars.
Also on hand for the Tinseltown screening were rock star clad couple Stacy ?Fergie? Ferguson and Josh Duhamel, as well as Zac Efron, Mary J Blige and Bret Michaels - whose band Poison is featured on the '80s themed soundtrack.
With the cast rounded out by Paul Giamatti, Malin Akerman and Alec Baldwin, the musical based motion picture is about a small town girl and city boy who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Tinseltown dreams.
?Rock of Ages? is set to hit theaters on June 15th while, along with Poison, features the music of Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, Journey and Def Leppard.

<P>Wondering what <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> plans to call her next album? Well, you're going to have to wait through the summer to find out. The singer, currently on her <a href="/news/articles/1675458/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml">controversial <i>Born This Way</i> Tour</a>, <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/ladygaga" target="_blank">tweeted</a> that she will make the announcement this fall. "Exciting news little monsters! I've played my new record for my label and will be announcing my new Album Title in September! X," she wrote.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Has The Title And Concept For Her Next Album" id="vid:717202" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Gaga has, in fact, been playing the record for her bosses and inner circle. She also revealed on Twitter that she spun the new music, her follow-up to 2011's <i>Born This Way,</i> for her longtime pal Lady Starlight. And her co-manager Vincent Herbert had some of his own <a href="/news/articles/1686196/lady-gaga-new-album.jhtml">teases for Little Monsters</a> in an interview he gave late last month.</P><P>"[It's] just [an] insane, great record. She's on tour right now, but it's just going to be a great record. Look out for the unexpected when it comes to her," he said. "We're doing it on the road right now, so it's a little hard, but it's going to be great."</P><P>Though it's unclear how far along in the recording process she is for the release, in an interview with MTV News in December, she already had the <a href="/news/articles/1675458/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml">highly anticipated album title</a> in mind. "I've started writing it and I have the name for it and all the concepts are beginning to flourish and take place," she said. "I'm excited to put it out, but it's not done yet. So I'll put it out when it's done."</P><P>Her producer, Fernando Garibay, confirmed in a separate interview last year that Mother Monster would be working on the album while on tour. "I get a little bit of anxiety thinking about that right now. I wanna just always try to outdo ourselves, our songs. They're already incredible songs. But I feel like she's so young," he said, adding that at the time, the record was in its early stages and that "there's a lot of room to grow."</P><P>"The last record we made in bus stops and hotel rooms," he said. "Wherever she's at, we'll make it."</p>

N.O.R.E. Breaks Down Partnership With Busta Rhymes For S.U.P.E.R.T.H.U.G.

N.O.R.E. is ready for the next chapter in his career. As half of the Queens, New York, rap duo Capone-N-Noreaga, N.O.R.E. dropped an underground rap classic with pair's 1997 debut The War Report. As a solo artist on a major label, he's made his mark with unforgettable street singles like "Superthug" and "Grimey." Now N.O.R.E. is looking forward to going independent and releasing his S.U.P.E.R.T.H.U.G. album and movie.
For the album, N.O.R.E. hooked up with his buddy Busta Rhymes, who will partner with Noreaga on the business end of things. "He's been the person, when I was away and wasn't around, who would call me and say, 'Yo I don't hear no records on the streets, son,' " N.O.R.E. said when he appeared on "RapFix Live" on Wednesday, using his best Busta impression. "He's my peer and he's also a fan, but he wants to see me win. So why do anything separate?"
N.O.R.E. hasn't signed to Busta's Conglomerate record label, but they have joined forces. "I've been down too long to be anybody's artist. So it's a partnership, Militainment and Conglomerate as partners for the S.U.P.E.R.T.H.U.G. album."
The accompanying film will blend long-form music videos with some acting, similar to what Jay-Z did with his 1998 cult favorite "Streets Is Watching." The flick will star N.O.R.E., Ice T, Lil Wayne, Slaughterhouse's Joell Ortiz and Fred the Godson, just to name a few.
As far as whether or not he will make another record with C-N-N partner Capone, N.O.R.E. isn't sure. "We're straight, we're brothers," he confirmed about their personal relationship. "As far as recording, I don't know yet."
Before he commits to another album, he needs to see Capone exhibit a passion for the music. "He has to love his job just as much as me, and I'm not judging him, but the thing is I actually love this," N.O.R.E. said.

'Django Unchained' Trailer: Five Key Scenes
Sneak peek gives us a closer look at Quentin Tarantino's wholly original next film.

You have never seen a cowboy movie quite like this. Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" is a western unlike any other. For starters, it doesn't take place in the Old West, but in the pre-Civil War South. Secondly, it stars Jamie Foxx as a freed slave, out to save his wife from servitude. But what else would you expect from Tarantino?
The first trailer from "Django Unchained" hit the Web on Wednesday (June 6), and we've taken the opportunity to break it down for you into our five key scenes.
Django Is Off The Chain
Right from the start of the first trailer, Tarantino lets us know how "Django Unchained" is going to handle slavery. While the auteur will obviously bring his own irreverent spin to the subject, he is not shying away from showing the ugliest parts of slavery. Once freed, Django stylishly throws off his worn-down blanket in ultra-cool slow-mo, but he reveals the scars and the reality of his captivity. The image perfectly captures how Tarantino strikes the balance between truth and style in what's sure to be a controversial film.
It's Good to Be King
But Django is only one half of a dynamic duo. His liberator, the dentist-turned-bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (notice the wordplay), is played by none other than Christoph Waltz, the scene stealer from Tarantino's last film, "Inglourious Basterds." Where Colonel Hans Landa was a merciless, if not reasonable, evildoer, Schultz is a simple-minded (but not dumb) kind soul, whose unfamiliarity with slavery makes him sympathetic to Django's struggle to save his wife. He is an ally to Django, and — like Landa — gets many of the film's best lines.
The Bloody Cotton
If one image had to capture what Tarantino is attempting to do with "Django Unchained," this would be it. This movie is the first of its kind, a "bloody Southern," Tarantino's own genre of sub-Mason-Dixon Western action. He's taking the look of the spaghetti Western — something he experimented with in "Kill Bill" and "Inglourious Basterds" — and transplanting it to the South during the time before the Civil War. It's an entirely original mash-up, the kind we've come to expect from Tarantino.
Leo Has Our Attention
Perhaps the biggest attention grabber of this whole affair is former teen heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio as an egotistical plantation owner. For all his great roles, DiCaprio has never played such a clear-cut villain, and it's clear he's having one hell of a time in the role of Calvin Candie, who owns slaves and uses them for prize fights to the death. Yeah, that doesn't sound like the Leo we know, and that's exactly why we can't wait.
The "D" Is Silent
Just in case you were wondering, you don't pronounce the "D." Jamie Foxx has only appeared in a handful of movies in the years following his Oscar win, but Tarantino has handed him a meaty and thrilling role that could very well lead to a comeback. His portrayal of Django is drastically toned down from Foxx's usual roles, as Django is a relatively quiet character. Needless to say, he does get his share of badass one-liners in the trailer, and we're just dying to hear more.
A fun fact about that last shot: it actually contains two Djangos. The man to the right of Foxx is Franco Nero, the man who starred in the spaghetti Western "Django," Tarantino's inspiration for the title.

Lady Gaga Responds To Islamic Threats Over Indonesia Show
Gaga's tour promoters are negotiating with government officials for Jakarta concert to go forward despite threats from extremist groups.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml"> Lady Gaga</a> has responded to the increasingly volatile situation surrounding her "Born This Way" concert in Indonesia, saying on Twitter that she has been asked by authorities to censor her show and has received threats of violence from Islamic hardliners should it go on as planned.</P><P><a href="/news/articles/1685092/lady-gaga-cancels-show-indonesia.jhtml">Earlier reports indicated</a> that Gaga's planned June 3 concert at Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno Stadium had been canceled after Indonesian national police refused to issue a permit, citing objections from Islamic groups who worried that Gaga's performance would corrupt the nation's youth. However, Gaga's tour promoters are currently negotiating with government officials and police for the concert to go forward as planned.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Will Bring a 'Personal' Touch To 'Born This Way' Tour" id="vid:717952" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"The Jakarta situation is 2-fold: Indonesian authorities demand I censor the show & religious extremist separately, are threatening violence," Gaga <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/ladygaga/status/204810085438984192">tweeted</a> Tuesday (May 22). "If the show does go on as scheduled, I will perform the BTWBall alone."</P><P>Fifty thousand tickets for the show have been sold.</P><P>While Indonesia is a secular state governed as a multi-party representative democratic republic, it has the world's largest population of Muslims, most of whom practice a moderate form of the religion. However, there are also more extremist fringe groups that have in recent years become increasingly vocal, particularly regarding Western entertainers visiting the country. Beyonc é, for example, was <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,298736,00.html" target="_blank">permitted to perform</a> in Indonesia — the world's fourth most populous nation — on the condition she agreed to dress more conservatively.</P><P>But these groups' problems with Gaga extend beyond her wardrobe. The country's top Islamic body, the National Ulema Council (MUI), has said it objects to the concert not only because of her provocative costumes, but because it considers her lyrics to be "blasphemous," according to the <a href="http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5ic8EgZisBRUuvNPTU_HDXrzTiMtA?docId=CNG.c8ee78b51ef9bf3593b67500bd8a8817.3d1"><i>AFP</i></a>.</P><P>"Lady Gaga is considered an icon for liberal culture and Indonesia's freedom is not without limits," MUI official Asrorun Niam told <i>AFP</i>. "There are restrictions related to norms, morals and religion."</P><P>A more militant group, the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), said it would "create havoc" if the pop star's performance went ahead, calling her the "devil's messenger." The <a href="http://www.thejakartaglobe.com/home/hard-line-fpi-buys-150-tickets-to-stop-lady-gaga-concert/519194" target="_blank"><i>Jakarta Globe</i></a> reports the FPI have purchased 150 tickets to the concert, promising to enter the venue and stop the concert.</P><P>A spokesperson for FPI stressed that the group would not attack the audience, as their only target was Gaga and her crew. The group posted to its Facebook page a photo of a member wearing a turban and sunglasses to conceal his face, holding a ticket to the show with a caption reading, "We have gotten Lady Gaga tickets, not to watch but for us to enter. Whatever will be will be, we're ready for the risk."</P><P>"Hopefully, the concert is canceled," the FPI has said. The group previously threatened to intercept Gaga in transit from the airport if she even enters Indonesia.</P><P>Despite the threats, lawyers representing Gaga's tour production company reportedly met with Jakarta police today to negotiate the conditions necessary for the concert to go on as scheduled. A Jakarta police spokesman has said that for the concert to go ahead, concert promoters need to secure permits from the tourism ministry and the concert venue owner, in addition to ensuring Gaga "is dressed appropriately and does not violate cultural norms in this country."</P><P>Gaga also <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/21/showbiz/gaga-manila/index.html" target="_blank">encountered protests</a> in the Philippines from conservative Christian groups ahead of her concerts in Manila, but seemed in good spirits despite the controversy, <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/ladygaga/status/204844867359211520" target="_blank">tweeting</a>, "And don't worry, if I get thrown in jail in Manila, Beyonce will just bail me out. Prince William: RAF Operational Captain!
Not only is he the heir to the throne of England, but Prince William is now an operational captain for the Royal Air Force Search and Rescue branch.
The 30-year-old Duke of Cambridge qualified for the new classification this week, and will now command the RAF helicopter operations.
Mark Dunlop, Commanding Officer of 22 Squadron told press, "Flt Lt Wales (William?s military name) demonstrated the required standards needed for the award of Operation Captaincy. Due to the nature of search and rescue operations, the required standards are always set at a very high level. Operational Captaincy carries the overarching responsibility for the safety of the aircraft, its crew and any casualties."
Along the way, William was made to conduct an airborne search for a yacht, as well as extinguish a fire aboard a survey vessel, and search for people in the sea.
And given his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II?s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Prince William has a lot to be excited about!

'She is frail, and she doesn't eat when she should,' John says of Gaga in new interview with The Guardian.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/john_elton/artist.jhtml">Elton John</a> is concerned about his friend <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a>'s health, telling <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/jun/01/elton-john-interview-fatherhood-pnau?INTCMP=SRCH" target="_blank"><i>The Guardian</i></a> that Mother Monster's hectic touring and work schedule leave her "frail" and undernourished.</P><P>Perhaps more disconcerting is that John said Gaga's parents, to whom she is famously quite close, worry about her welfare as well. "I look at Gaga, and I think, 'How does she do it?' I talk to her mum and dad about it. They worry," he said.</P><P>"She is frail, and she doesn't eat when she should do, and she's a girl, and it's tougher for a girl. She works really hard," John continued. "She will be in Denmark one night and Saudi Arabia the next. I know how tiny she is, and I do worry about her, yes."</P><P>Gaga and John are so close that the music legend chose the "Born This Way" singer to be the <a href="/news/articles/1662501/lady-gaga-godmother-elton-john.jhtml">godmother</a> of his one-year-old son, Zachary. The pair have collaborated artistically multiple times, including a medley performance of their hits at the 2010 Grammys and on the duet "Hello Hello" for the animated 2011 film "Gnomeo & Juliet." After that frightening incident, Gaga canceled dates in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Wallingford, Connecticut, based on doctor's recommendations that she take time to recover from exhaustion.</P><P>Just two months later, Gaga appeared on the verge of collapse by the conclusion of a <a href="http://www.popeater.com/2010/03/16/lady-gaga-collapses/" target="_blank">"Monster Ball" show in Auckland, New Zealand</a>. Despite the severity of the news that Sheryl Crow has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, the good news is that the type of tumor, a meningioma, is non-cancerous.
MTV News caught up with Dr. Alessandro Olivi, a professor of neurosurgery and director of the Meningioma Center at Johns Hopkins University, who spoke very positively about Crow's prognosis.
"If they elected to observe it [and not perform surgery], that means the tumor is an incidental finding and considered, like it is in the majority of these cases, biologically favorable," Olivi said. "It's benign and doesn't need to come out, because it's not causing any problems and can be monitored safely."
Olivi, who also serves as the vice chairman of the department of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins, went on to say that doctors don't yet know what specifically causes the tumors, just that they tend to occur in women and that estrogen might play a role.
"We don't know what causes them. We know that there is preponderance in women over men. Some people have said it's related to estrogen. There might be some receptor, but not to the point where I would say to change hormone treatment," he said. "For example, with menopause, you produce less estrogen and people are on hormone replacement. I don't consider that a reason not to do it. In other words, the correlation [between estrogen and meningioma] is loose. We don't know in reality what the cause is. The good thing is that in the vast majority, they are self-limiting, and the biological behavior is not one of an aggressive cancer."
Speaking to how the tumor will affect Crow's day-to-day lifestyle moving forward, Olivi said she'll likely only need routine checkups.
"She just needs to do what she is told as far as monitoring and imaging, which will probably be once every six months if everything is OK and can be moved up to once a year," he said. "But no change in lifestyle; she can still sing!"

Sometimes on-set romances blossom into the real thing. That's clearly the case with Miley Cyrus and "Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth , who announced on Wednesday (June 6) that they are engaged.
"I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam," Cyrus, 19, told People magazine. The couple have been dating for three years since meeting on the set of "The Last Song" in 2009. Australian actor Hemsworth, 22, Cyrus' co-star in that film, proposed to the pop country star on May 31 with a 3.5-carat diamond ring. Earlier this year the couple denied that they were planning a wedding after Cyrus was spotted with what some thought was an engagement ring.
Cyrus began dating Hemsworth shortly after ending a nine-month relationship with model Justin Gaston. It was been an up-and-down ride ever since, with a break-up in August 2010, a reconciliation and then another split later that year and a second reunion in April 2011.
In an interview with Details magazine earlier this year, Hemsworth said he tried to be professional on the set of "Last Song," but could not help falling in love with his co-star. "What happened happened, and we've been together ever since," he said. "She makes me really happy. When you start, you want to be professional, but when you're filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you're not human if you don't feel something."

Early Wednesday morning Cyrus tweeted the phrase, "life is beautiful," but has not made any further comments on the engagement.
The couple will be busy in the lead up to their not-yet-scheduled nuptials, with Cyrus working on her fourth studio album and Hemsworth filming the movie "Empire State" in New Orleans. After that, he's off to co-star in the thriller "Paranoia" with Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman and then work will begin on the second "Hunger Games" installment.

Britney Spears Joins 'X Factor' As A Judge
Pop star will earn a reported $15 million for one season.

Now that "The Voice" has wrapped, it's time for another Mouseketeer-turned-diva to judge future music stars: Britney Spears has reportedly signed a deal to be a judge on "The X Factor," according to <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/its_official_britney_spears_signs_x/312961" target="_blank">E! News</a>.</P><P>News first broke in early March that the pop star was in negotiations to join the panel of Fox's reality singing competition, and last month, it was reported that Spears was being offered $15 million for one season of the show — $3 million more than Jennifer Lopez earns as a judge on "American Idol."</P><P>"The contract is signed," a source told E! "There's been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she's on. It's all completed and Britney is beyond excited."</P><P>In an April interview with <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2012/04/17/simon-cowell-britney-spears-x-factor-tmz-live/" target="_blank">TMZ</a>, Cowell remained mum about the Spears negotiation rumors but admitted that he would "love" to have her on "X Factor."</P><P>"I think it would be a coup," he said. "I think she would be a fascinating person to sit next to, so we'll have to wait and see."</P><P>Spears will join returning mentors Cowell and record executive L.A. MTV Movie Awards Backstage Secrets Revealed
Wahlberg heckles, Fassbender hugs it out and Russell Brand gets very close to our correspondent.

Well, that was a hell of a Movie Awards, wasn't it? Johnny Depp playing with the Black Keys?!? That moment when Christian Bale got choked up? Russell Brand's scathing monologue? And then that other stuff ... with that thing that happened ... yeah, I haven't seen one minute of the show yet. Literally. I'm totally serious.
Such was my odd position and perspective on the MTV Movie Awards. For the second year in a row, I was backstage for the entirety of the show, roaming what we call "the patio," where the pretty people laugh, drink, smoke and possibly hook up so that their children — even prettier people — can show up at awards shows 20 years hence.
While I'm bummed I missed another memorable show (home recording device, don't fail me now!), I wouldn't trade my gig for a front-row seat to the big show, not with the stuff I got to see. So here you go, the backstage stuff nobody saw.
Live Television Is Stressful ... but Awesome
Hopefully you guys caught our red-carpet pre-show. And hopefully if you did, it looked like a relatively smooth if loose affair. Well, let me pull the curtain back just a bit. Live red-carpet shows are insane. Don't get me wrong: We had the greatest team in the business producing our show, but we didn't have a psychic who could predict that the guest we were supposed to open the show with would be MIA. Or that certain interviews would go on twice as long as scheduled. Or ... well, a lot of things. Suffice to say when I took the "winner's walk" off the main stage during one of my live bits, I wasn't sure if I would find anyone waiting to interview let alone Julianne Hough, much less Julianne and her little nephew Aidan. That smile I had when I saw her? That, my friends, was relief.
Wahlberg Heckles Too
By now you've no doubt heard (or saw) that there was a heckler who directed some choice words towards the lovely Mila Kunis at the beginning of the show. And from what I gather, her "Ted" co-star Mark Wahlberg came to her defense (remember, I still haven't seen the show). Well, just minutes before, just as I was seconds from going live on the patio with Emma Watson, I heard my name being screamed from afar. I looked up and there he was, Marky Mark, giving me crap while I tried to look like I was composed. Bastard.
Size Matters
I don't know why this surprises me but Michael Fassbender is having a ball. If you were one of the most acclaimed actors of your generation and the size of your penis was marveled at by the world, I guess you'd be in a good mood too. Backstage the big man (talking about his acting ability here, of course) was holding court. Every time I turned around, he was hugging another actor (Charlize Theron, Russell Brand, Rob Riggle?!?), looking like he was having the time of his life.
Russell Brand and I Are Having a Baby
My relationship with Russell Brand is complicated. He likes to touch me. Everywhere. And often. I knew as soon as Russell signed on to host the Movie Awards that I'd be touched inappropriately at some point. He saved it all for the end. As he walked off the stage at the conclusion of the show, kissing and high-fiving people left and right, Russell embraced me with all of his might and then — I will say this in the hopes that it relieves me of years of therapy — he repeatedly pushed his pelvis into mine in a rhythmic motion one usually reserves for a significant other. Billy Crystal didn't do that to Ryan Seacrest at the Oscars. He didn't, right?

Britney Spears To Get New 'Glee' Tribute Episode
Fox comedy will also move to Thursday, like 'X Factor,' where Brit has signed on to judge.

<P>After drawing <a href="/news/articles/1648982/britney-spears-glee-episode-draws-record-setting-ratings.jhtml">record ratings the first time around, "Glee"</a> has announced plans to pay homage to <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/spears_britney/artist.jhtml">Britney Spears</a> ... one more time. The news comes hot on the heels of the announcement that Spears will join the "X Factor" as judge, when the competition show returns to Fox this fall on Thursday nights. (Glee also moves to Thursdays for season four.)</P><P>While Brit appeared in the September 2010 tribute episode, which used her impressive collection of hits, the 2012 tribute episode will instead focus on her "Glee" namesake, Brittany S. Pierce (played by Heather Morris), without any appearances from Spears. <a href="http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/05/15/glee-scoop-second-britney-tribute-exclusive" target="_blank">EW.com</a> reports that the new episode will be the second in the show's fourth season, returning in the fall.</P><P>The Spears-centric episode will feature eight of her songs, and a source revealed that Fox is excited to have Spears joining the network on "X Factor" and that the "Glee" ep is partly a reflection of that.</P><P>Spears was on hand Monday at the Fox Upfront presentation in New York City, where she appeared alongside fellow <a href="/news/articles/1685057/demi-lovato-britney-spears-x-factor.jhtml">"X Factor" newbie Demi Lovato</a>, as well as returning judges L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell. At the event, the judges and host of "So You Think You Can Dance" weighed in on the <a href="/news/articles/1685066/britney-spears-demi-lovato-x-factor.jhtml">ladies joining the show</a>.</P><P>"I don't have any advice for those ladies," "SYTYCD" host Cat Deeley told MTV News. "What I do like about it though is they will be able to absolutely impart some serious wisdom. I love the idea that they've been in the business for so long and since being kids, and so quite often they've had successes and they've had failures on things.</P><P>"And I think the most important thing is the mistakes we make," she added. "You learn so much from mistakes that you make and I think they'll be able to impart their wisdom to the new kids coming through. 'Project X' Star Proclaims Himself 'America's Dirtbag'
Oliver Cooper is desperate to win the Best Onscreen Dirtbag prize at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards.

Oliver Cooper wants your vote!
The "Project X" star is nominated for a couple of MTV Movie Awards, but it's the Best Onscreen Dirtbag prize that he's really after. While promoting this year's awards show, Cooper petitioned America for their vote.
"Listen. Is America listening right now? I want you to vote for me for Best Onscreen Dirtbag because, truly, I am a dirtbag," he said.
This isn't the first time Cooper has tried to swing the vote. But instead of pointing out why the other contenders — including Colin Farrell, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Aniston — shouldn't get the award, he explains why he thinks he should.
"I f---ed up an entire neighborhood. I didn't care about my friends. I still don't care about those guys, OK? What else did I do in that movie? I don't even remember. It's all a blur. I don't even care about the movie — that's how much of a dirtbag I am," he said. "I just want that goddamn popcorn, so I can have a career."
That's when things start to get a little sad. Cooper explains how he's at the brink of bursting out into Hollywood and needs a Golden Popcorn to help get him there.
"Everybody else out there, they've got careers, they're doing movies all over the world. Me? I'm living with my aunt right now. In Encino," he said. "I'm Jewish, but I haven't been to temple in over three years. Honestly, I'm a little confused. I don't have a girlfriend. Recently, the girls I've been seeing, they don't even speak English. Seriously. And that's because I don't want to talk to them."
And that's where it all comes together for Cooper: managing to make us feel bad for him while reviling him at the same time.
"I'm a dirtbag," he promised. "I'm America's dirtbag."
